Education in Physical Geography and Ecosystem Sciences

Physical geography is about the interaction between land, water, the biosphere, and the atmosphere, as well as the impact of human activity on the landscape. Here, you study in an international environment and receive an education that opens up many opportunities for the future.

We offer courses and programs in physical geography, ecosystem science, and GIS. Our department provides a bachelor’s program and four different master’s programs, all conducted in English.

As a physical geographer, you can work with nature conservation, climate adaptation, digital mapping and GIS, urban and regional planning, development aid, and much more. In our teaching, we take both local and global perspectives, and there are excellent opportunities to study abroad through exchange programs.
