Agenda 2030 Graduate School
The Agenda 2030 Graduate School at Lund University is an interdisciplinary research training environment dedicated to exploring and understanding sustainability challenges of our time. Bringing together doctoral students from all faculties, the school provides a platform for academic exchange, joint learning and collaboration across disciplinary boundaries.
The graduate school's activities are built on the idea that complex societal issues require insights and methods from multiple fields.
Founded in 2018, the Agenda 2030 Graduate School supports doctoral projects that engage with different aspects of sustainable development. Doctoral candidates are registered within their home faculties but participate in courses, seminars and other activities organised by the school. These initiatives broaden participants’ perspectives on sustainability-related questions and strengthen their ability to work beyond the scope of a single discipline. Many activities are also open to other postgraduate students at Lund University, contributing to a wider exchange of knowledge and approaches.
Today, the Agenda 2030 Graduate School includes a community of active doctoral students and alumni whose research spans a wide range of sustainability topics. The school forms part of Lund University’s broader commitment to advancing knowledge on societal development and environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainability.
