LU Land
LU Land is a collaboration platform at Lund University that brings together researchers and societal actors around issues related to sustainable land use. The platform highlights goal conflicts, fosters dialogue and contributes to new solutions for how land can be used and managed in an ecologically, socially and economically sustainable way.
Sustainable land use is crucial for food and energy production, climate adaptation, biodiversity and a bio-based economy. Through seminars, workshops and collaborative projects, LU Land brings together stakeholders from different sectors to address these complex challenges.
The work is structured around three key questions:
- What should we use the limited resource of land for?
- How intensively should the landscape be managed?
- Which policy instruments and governance frameworks are needed to promote long-term sustainable development?
As a participant, you can contribute, for example, by sharing current challenges, proposing ideas for collaborative projects or identifying needs for new knowledge. In return, you gain access to a broad network, opportunities to increase the visibility of your work, as well as competence development and support in identifying relevant collaboration partners.
